Job Overview
The CNC Pipe Fabrication Machine Operator is responsible for completing customer production orders in a manufacturing environment by threading and facing pipe utilizing an RMT Pipe Spool Master 32 CNC Pipe Beveling, Boring, and Facing Machine.
Responsibilities
- This position utilizes multiple pieces of cutting and machining equipment and processes to meet production demands. Working independently, specific responsibilities include the following;
- Completes production orders within a specified timeframe, efficiently, while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Production orders completed in allotted timeframe. (QUANTITY KEY METRIC)
- Retrieves appropriate raw materials from storage areas.
- Cuts various diameter pipe to required length using appropriate machining equipment.
- Cut threads and faces pipe first time, per work order, using appropriate machining equipment. (QUALITY KEY METRIC)
- Moves finished product to appropriate area for shipment to customer.
- Completes required paperwork during and after production process is complete, per work order, ensuring paperwork is in proper location.
- Daily inspects and maintains equipment and promptly reports equipment malfunction to Supervisor/Shop Foreman. (MAINTENANCE KEY METRIC)
- Completes other production related processes as assigned.
Experience
- CNC Certificate or degree (or currently attending a certification program).
- Ability to use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division) including fractions and decimals.
- Proven mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
