Position Overview
Plant Concepts is seeking a reliable, motivated Crew Lead to oversee a 3-person lawn mowing crew servicing commercial and homeowners association (HOA) properties. This role is responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality work while leading by example and upholding our standard: Details Matter.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in their work, runs an efficient crew, and owns the quality of their route.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday (seasonal Saturdays as needed)
- Typical start time: 7:15 AM
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a 3-person mowing crew
- Take ownership of route completion, crew performance, and property quality
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
- Deliver clean lines, consistent striping, and debris-free finishes
- Train and support crew members to maintain productivity and standards
- Ensure all commercial and HOA properties meet company expectations
- Conduct daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Safely operate and oversee use of trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Communicate with Operations regarding progress, issues, or delays
- Enforce company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2 years of lawn maintenance experience required
- Prior crew leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial mowing equipment and best practices
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Comfortable driving truck and trailer
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Dependable, accountable, and detail-oriented
