Role Overview
Based in New York, the Senior Analyst, Healthcare Analytics will play a key role in developing datasets, analytical models, and insights that support Plant-A’s healthcare benchmarking and ranking products. You will work closely with senior research leaders to execute analytical workflows, validate data sources, support methodology development, and contribute to high-visibility publications in partnership with established media outlets.
What You’ll Do:
• Support the development and execution of healthcare analytics projects, rankings, and benchmarking models.
• Conduct data extraction, cleaning, harmonization, and validation from U.S. healthcare datasets, including claims, clinical, and performance data sources.
• Perform quantitative and statistical analyses to evaluate quality metrics, patient outcomes, provider performance, and system efficiency.
• Contribute to methodological documentation, data dictionaries, and transparency reporting.
• Prepare analytical summaries, visualizations, and insight narratives for external reports and media-facing outputs.
• Track developments in healthcare delivery, quality measurement, digital health, and regulatory data availability.
• Collaborate with internal data scientists, researchers, and engineering resources to improve data workflows and automation.
• Assist in coordinating expert feedback sessions with clinicians, advisory board members, and domain specialists.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Data Analytics, or a related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, health services research, market insights, or quality measurement.
• Hands-on experience working with U.S. healthcare datasets (claims, provider data, CMS data, performance indicators, clinical quality metrics).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or statistical modeling software.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear insights and visualizations.
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a passion for data-driven improvement in healthcare.
• Excellent written communication skills, especially in summarizing data for non-technical audiences.
