Material Handler Distribution

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Material Handler Distribution to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse operations, heavy equipment handling, and materials management will ensure smooth and accurate order fulfillment. We are seeking both 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM) and 2nd Shift (2:30PM-11PM) Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays when business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders according to specifications
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse while adhering to OSHA safety standards
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by properly stacking pallets and managing inventory locations
• Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for order picking, load & unload operations, and equipment maintenance

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with familiarity in order picker operations
• Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks
• Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols including OSHA regulations and mechanical knowledge of warehouse machinery
• Prior use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control and order processing
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with construction or heavy materials handling is highly desirable
• Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles demonstrating ability to coordinate team activities preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
