Planning Resources Inc. (PRI), an expanding minority-owned Landscape Architecture and Urban Design firm in suburban Chicago, seeks an organized and social media savvy Part-Time Business & Communications Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual with a pleasant personality to join our team. This flexible, hands-on role requires a strong work ethic from a self-starter who can immediately drive brand growth and secure new project opportunities.
The Coordinator will achieve this by taking leadership of two primary functions: first, managing all Social Media Coordination—developing and executing an engaging strategy across various social media platforms; and second, providing Proposal & Marketing Assistance—assisting the Firm Principal and Senior Staff in the coordination and production of high-quality marketing materials.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Supporting general office management and administrative tasks.
- Assisting with business development research and follow-up communications.
- Facilitate outreach to the wider Architect/Engineering and Parks & Recreation industry for growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with senior staff on communication, graphic design, and production of marketing material such as Request for Proposals, Statement of Qualifications, and other miscellaneous marketing materials such as brochures, pamphlets, etc.
- Create and curate content on social media platforms including Company Website, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Review analytics and unified brand voice across different social media channels.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (2 years) in social media management and proposal/marketing development, within the AE, Park & Recreation design, and/or related field preferred.
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or equivalent digital media editing tool.
Details:
- Position Status: Part-Time (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
- Metropolitan Chicago Office Location: Lombard, Illinois (some hybrid flexibility may be available)
