JOB SUMMARY:
TheDirector ofClinical Operationsis responsible forthe operationalleadershipandexecutionofPPSWO'shealthcare operations strategy across allfamily planning and ambulatory surgical facility (ASF)locations.This positionensuresthe delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that advances the affiliate's mission of health equity whilemaintainingefficient, compliant, and responsive clinical operations.
The Director oversees Health Center Managersandis responsible fordriving excellence in service delivery,implementationofquality improvementinitiatives, patient experience,operational performance,and clinical outcomes.TheDirector collaborates with leaders throughout the organization to implement strategic initiatives, standardize best practices, strengthen revenue cycle performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainablegrowth.
Through strong leadership andstaff development,the Directorfosters a culture of accountability, collaboration,innovation,and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operations and FinancialManagement:
Provideadministrative and operationalleadershipfor allPPSWO's health centersthrough direct supervision of Health Center Managers.
Assistinthedevelopment,managementand monitoringof departmental and site budgets.
CollaboratewithPatientServicesleadershipto develop and execute strategic plansthat support clinical growth, operational excellence, and service expansion.
Ensureconsistentimplementation of operational processes, workflows, policies,and standards across all locations.
Monitorand evaluatekey performance indicators,including productivity, access to care, patient flow, revenue cycle support, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction, and implement corrective measures when needed.
Identifyoperational challenges andwork withPatientServicesleadership toimplement solutions that improve efficiency,patientexperience, and financial performance.
Collaborate withDevelopmentandFinance teamsto support grant reporting, program evaluation, and stakeholder communications.
Supportorganizationalinitiativesthat expand patient access and strengthen service delivery.
The Director is accountable for achieving operational performance goals related to access, productivity, patient experience, workforce effectiveness, and implementation of affiliate healthcare initiatives.
ClinicalLeadership andOversight:
Ensurecompliancewith organizational policies, federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and applicable healthcare guidelines.
Promoteapatient focusedculture that maximizes access, minimizes wait times, ensures efficient patient flow, and meets productivity and patient volume goals.
Lead monthly Health Center Manager meetings, including agenda development, communication of organizational priorities, training coordination, and dissemination of key operational information.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders toimplement, andevaluate policies, procedures, and best practices.
Maintains, creates, and archives Patient Services forms incompliance with policies and procedures.
Work closely with operations and administration staff to oversee the efficient and effective implementation ofclinicalpolicies, procedures, and best practices
Participate as an active member of the Patient Services Administrative teamand other organizational committees as assigned.
StaffLeadershipand Development:
Recruit, mentor, coach, and evaluateHealth Center Managers and other direct reports.
Promote a culture of excellence, accountability,teamwork, professionalism,andpatient-centered care.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure corrective action processes are implemented when necessary.
SupportHealth Center Managersto ensure thecentersare properly staffed, and staff are effectively hired, oriented, trained, coached, and evaluated.
Support workforce planning, staff retention, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
DelegateResponsibilities appropriately while ensuring accountability for desired outcomes.
Regulatory Complianceand RiskManagement:
Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, state licensing standards, and payer requirements.
Supportsregulatoryaudits, siteinspections,accreditation activities, and implementation of corrective action plans in partnership with Quality, Risk, and Compliance.
Implements operational controls and corrective actions designed to reduce identified risks
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, health administration, public health, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experiencemanaging operations within anAmbulatory Surgical Facility(ASF) or Ambulatory SurgicalCenter(ASC).
Experience in reproductive health orrelatedhealthcaresettingwith responsibility for program implementation, operations, staff supervision,andbudget management.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing staff.
Demonstrated ability to be responsive to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple complex initiatives.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Able to work flexible hours, includingoccasionalevenings and weekends.
Able to travelRegularly between PPSWO health centers and other meeting locations.
Reliabletransportation, valid driver's license, andappropriateautomobileinsurance.
History of defining problems, collecting data and information, analyzingproblemsand developing solutions.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and healthcare performance reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Five to ten years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including multi-site management.
Master's degreein a healthcare-related discipline, business administration, public health, ora relatedfield.
Bi-lingual.
Relevant work experience in non-profit.
Demonstrated commitment to health equity and understanding of the impact of racial inequitieson healthcare access, outcomes, and service delivery.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
Ability to get to the work site; also, other PPSWO health centers and meetings whenrequired.
May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood and body fluids that maycontainHIV and/or HBV.
May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, offensive odors, and hazardous materials.
