We operate four health centers and offer telehealth statewide as part of a network of 600 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide.
Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) delivers high-quality, patient-centered Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services, including family planning and abortion care, in an efficient and supportive environment. This role requires maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills while following PPLM protocols, policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA, CLIA, Title X, and Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines). The APC serves as a clinical role model and resource for health center staff. They partner with leadership and colleagues to promote a positive, collaborative workplace and ensure consistent follow-up and referral care according to PPLM standards.
Your Day-to-Day:
✅ Active Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA).
✅ Current DEA registration, MA Controlled Substance Registration, and BLS/CPR certification.
✅ 5-8 Years Of Relevant Clinical Experience Preferred.
✅ Strong clinical background in sexual and reproductive health.
✅ Ability to provide compassionate, inclusive care to diverse populations.
✅ Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
✅ Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
✅ Ability to lift 30 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.

Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide high-quality sexual and reproductive health care following PPFA, PPLM, and Massachusetts guidelines
- Conduct patient visits, including history review, exams, and clinical decision-making
- Deliver key services: contraception (IUDs, implants), STI testing/treatment, pregnancy care, medication abortion, and gender-affirming hormone therapy
- Manage labs, referrals, and follow-up care to ensure safe, coordinated treatment
- Educate patients and support informed, judgment-free care
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with MA DPH, OSHA, CLIA, and Title X standards
- Collaborate with team members, support clinic flow, and maintain required licensure and certifications
