Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-4pm)
- Location: Galloway, NJ 08205
- Salary: $65k

The Assistant Maintenance Manager plays a key role in maintaining building safety, operational efficiency, and a positive resident experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day maintenance operations
- Help assign, track, and complete work orders and service requests
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, including:
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
- Apartment turns and common area maintenance
- Support preventative maintenance programs for building systems and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of apartments, common areas, and mechanical rooms
- Assist with vendor coordination, including access, oversight, and quality checks
- Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, and parts; report inventory needs
- Help ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and local codes
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call rotation
- Assist with training and mentoring maintenance technicians
- Communicate maintenance updates to management and residents as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and work order records
- Support capital projects, renovations, and property improvement initiatives
- 2 years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine and emergency repairs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable using work order systems and basic computer applications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license; EPA certification preferred or willingness to obtain
