Job Description:
Plankton Energy is seeking an Asset Manager. This role is responsible for managing Plankton’s portfolio of operational solar assets. Tasks include client communication with external stakeholders, monitoring solar system performance, diagnosing under-performance, scheduling maintenance visits, and tracking operational expenses for assets. Responsibilities:
· Act as the primary point of contact for operational project stakeholders. Stakeholders include landowners, solar asset owners, financial partners, utilities, and O&M providers
· Coordinate internally with engineering and development teams
· Monitor generation performance of operational fleet using monitoring platforms such as SolarEdge, AlsoEnergy, and Chint
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues on operational projects. Work closely with Plankton’s maintenance team to troubleshoot and fix equipment and control-related problems
· Manage the schedule for Plankton’s maintenance team including scheduling and managing site visits for corrective and preventative maintenance
· Manage O&M contracts for operational projects
· Track operational expenses for operational projects
· Review and track funds received from operational projects
· Manage and maintain operational tracking financial models
· Generate monthly production reports and invoices
· Ensure that the operating projects comply with all relevant regulations, environmental requirements, permits, and safety standards
· Manage Plankton’s spare parts inventory
Requirements:
· 1-5 years of work in renewable industry
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Economics, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or similar field preferred
· Strong knowledge of renewable energy technology
· Strong organization tendencies and project management experience
· Expert in Microsoft excel.
· Familiarity with asset management or familiarity with solar project design
· Passion for working in the renewable energy industry
· Must have valid work authorization for the US
Position Specifics & Benefits:
· Location: Brooklyn, NY
· Compensation: Base salary of $85,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience plus bonus and profit sharing
