We are seeking a Network Engineer to support our client and perform LAN and Wi-Fi monitoring and support. This individual will be expected to work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction. This is an onsite position, located in Raleigh, NC. Currently allowing for hybrid work, reporting to the office 4 days a week. This hybrid schedule could change in the future.
Schedule is Saturday - Wednesday from 8am to 6pm ET with occasional on-call rotation and after-hours work.

- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity issues, including, but not limited to, switches, routers, and cabling.
- Resolve Trouble tickets generated through ServiceNow
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
- Assist Tier 1 support in diagnosing and resolving LAN-related problems.
- Provide Tier 2 support for LAN-related incidents and service requests escalated from Tier 1.
- Collaborate with Tier 3 LAN Engineers for complex issue resolution.
- Perform duties in support of the mission as directed by Management.
- Typically performs all functional duties independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and prioritize and manage your own workload.
- A minimum of 3-7 years’ relevant experience.
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred. four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required. If the indiviual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
- An Associate employee is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
- Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable network experience and support.
- Proficiency in LAN protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills - Layer 1 and 2
- Understanding of LAN security standards and methodologies.
- Proven experience with LAN networking and other wireless solutions such as Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Juniper Mist, and Fortinet.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team mindset.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and industry developments in the LAN Engineering field.
- Preferred: Cisco or other applicable Networking Certifications
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
- All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
- Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
- The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women. Place and Period of Performance
- Hours of support:
- The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
- Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.
