Support the implementation and operationalization of the organization's data governance framework within the Enterprise Data Management program. Ensures that data assets are properly defined, cataloged, and governed according to enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and business needs.

- Collaborates effectively with data stewards, business stakeholders, and technical teams to maintain data quality, enforce policies, and enable trusted, well-documented data for analytics and operational use.
- Excellent communication skills -- ability to explain governance concepts to both technical and business audiences; assist with workshops and meetings.
- Keen Attention to Detail -- ensures accuracy in metadata, definitions, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to identify and understand data quality related issues, assess data using analytical tools (SQL, Advanced Excel formulas) and document/communicate findings/recommendations.
- Strong Problem-Solving skills with ability to resolve conflicts in data definitions and ownership.
- Has good organizational skills and can manage multiple governance tasks and priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite of Tools (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, Access).
- Intermediate skill using data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview (preferred) or Informatica EDC for data tagging, classification, and stewardship workflows.
- Intermediate skills with metadata management artifacts including business glossary, data dictionary, lineage documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data profiling and data analysis (data quality, data reconciliation, data distribution) -Ability to write SQL and leverage advanced Excel formulas to assess data.
- Azure Data Services experience - Microsoft SQL Server or other similar data querying tools.
- Understanding of Security & Compliance concepts including data masking and encryption.
- Intermediate experience with diagram documentation tools: Lucidchart or Visio for process diagrams; Excel for stewardship matrices
- Minimum 3-5 years of data analysis, requirements definition, and data governance experience
- Minimum 3-5 years hands on working experience with intermediate to advanced level SQL
- Minimum 2 years supporting data catalog updates, glossary maintenance, and basic data quality checks.
- Minimum 2 years supporting governance processes, monitoring compliance, and facilitating stewardship activities.
