Salary: 84,000 AnnuallyWine importer company based in Richmond is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager.The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations, productivity and efficiency. These duties include inventory management and controls, receiving and distribution, maintenance and organization, vehicles and equipment, safety, staff management, cost controls and coordination with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.Resumes will only be considered for those who meet all of the requirements as listed. A cover letter is also mandatory.Warehouse:Supervision of all daily warehouse operationsResponsible for safety policies, practices and adherence in the warehouseEnsure warehouse remains clean and free of debris and/or safety hazardsReporting of damages or required repairs in the warehouseEnsure company trucks are serviced, in good working order and kept cleanEnsure warehouse mechanical equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack) is kept in good working orderEnsure equipment/supplies are stocked and in good condition (ladders, pallet jacks, carts, gloves, etc)Scheduling and supervision of driver loads, routes and delivery schedulesOversight of order prep for drivers daily routesInventory control and organization on-siteCoordination and inventory oversight of off-site locationTransfer of inventory between sitesOversee Organic Inventory Warehouse space and required complianceReceipt, verification and processing of incoming container shipmentsPerform spot check inventoriesPerform 2 full inventories per year on siteOperate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, organize and store inventoryBack up delivery driver if neededAdministrative:Communication and coordination with Admin and Sales staffCoordinate with office staff on inventory reports and purchasing feedbackOversee all paperwork between warehouse, drivers and office is processed accurately and promptlyEnsure accuracy of paperwork for order prep/delivery by driversKeep updated logs and documentation for inventory processingOSHA and DOS compliance and record keeping including required postingsCreation and maintenance of company IIPP, OSHA Manual and safety programCreation and maintenance of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)Implement ongoing Safety Training Program and record keeping / documentation systemFleet maintenance program and record keeping systemMaintain Warehouse google drive record keeping systemMiscellaneous reports as neededManagement:Manage Warehouse team of 3 drivers and a Warehouse AssistantManagement of staff resources: schedules, hours, time offMonitoring and approval of warehouse staff timesheets and expensesProvide driver/staff training, including proper use of equipment, driving and safety and warehouse safetyCorrective and/or disciplinary action if required for warehouse staffCost control for warehouse supplies, equipment, maintenance and repairsWeekly meetings with General Manager to provide progress reports and discuss any pending issuesCore Skills:Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to communicate via text, email and phone efficiently with management team, other departments and service providers.Technology: Ability to work with company software, excel and various types of reports.Creativity: Ability to assess current operations and develop concepts and plans to improve efficiency and processes.Leadership: Desire to create a positive team environment, motivate staff and lead by example.Problem Solving: Ability to independently assess and solve a problem.
