Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Route Delivery Specialist to manage the distribution of propane tanks to our local commercial partners. In this role, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that local businesses—including restaurants, hardware stores, and hospitality venues—receive timely and professional fueling solutions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers’ locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning the best delivery paths to maximize productivity and punctuality.
- Assist customers with their orders, answer questions about products or services, and provide exceptional customer service during each delivery.
- Conduct heavy lifting and merchandise handling as needed to load and unload deliveries securely.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and pricing details.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues that arise during routes.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license; familiarity with route driving is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining organizational skills for managing deliveries.
- Knowledge of merchandising practices to ensure proper product placement during deliveries.
- Background in military service is a plus, demonstrating discipline, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
