Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineer to support a medical device manufacturing program focused on advanced patient monitoring sensor technology. This role will be responsible for developing manufacturing test systems, automated test applications, and measurement solutions that support high-volume production environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manufacturing test engineering, automated test system development, and measurement science, with the ability to transition laboratory measurement methods into scalable manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing test applications, test stations, and automated test systems.
- Design and maintain test software using LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Integrate test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and measurement hardware into production environments.
- Define manufacturing test requirements, methodologies, and validation strategies.
- Develop manufacturing test limits, guard bands, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R studies, and uncertainty analyses.
- Author and support URS and SRS documentation.
- Execute verification and validation activities for manufacturing test systems.
- Analyze yield, repeatability, reproducibility, and measurement variation data.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams to deploy robust testing solutions.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
- Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) preferred.
Experience
- 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Test Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience developing automated manufacturing test systems and applications.
- Strong expertise with:
- LabVIEW
- TestStand
- Test Instrument Integration
- Experience developing manufacturing test methodologies and validation strategies.
- Experience with requirements development, verification, and validation activities.
- Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving capabilities.
