Human Resources Generalist
Key Responsibilities:
Core HR & Employee Relations
- Serve as the on-site HR representative supporting all levels of employees (operators to senior leadership)
- Handle employee relations matters, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Maintain strong floor presence—regularly engage with employees on the production floor
- Provide guidance to department leaders on HR-related matters
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Support full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions (operations, QA, engineering, etc.)
- Source candidates through various channels (job boards, networking, universities, job fairs)
- Coordinate and attend local recruiting events and campus outreach initiatives
- Manage multiple open roles in a high-growth environment
HR Operations & Administration
- Execute transactional HR activities (onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, etc.)
- Partner with payroll and HRIS systems (ADP, SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
- Support benefits-related inquiries and assist during open enrollment (in partnership with corporate benefits team)
Site HR Leadership Support
- Act as the primary HR contact when HR Manager is unavailable
- Collaborate with leadership across departments
- Assist with HR projects and gradually take on strategic responsibilities
Work Environment & Expectations
- Fully on-site role (5 days/week) due to manufacturing environment
- Regular interaction on the production floor (PPE/gowning required)
- Flexible schedule required:
- Standard hours ~9 AM – 5 PM
- Occasional early/late or weekend shifts to support 24/7 operations
- Occasional travel to sister facility (Pennsauken, NJ) — rare (~quarterly or less)
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- HR experience within pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of:
- Employee relations
- Recruiting and sourcing
- General HR practices in a regulated environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR)
- Experience with:
- ADP (payroll)
- SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
