Planet Pharma is seeking a senior CSA Construction Lead to support a large-scale pharmaceutical capital program in Central Indiana. This is an owner's representative leadership role responsible for overseeing all civil, structural, and architectural construction activities across a greenfield GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate brings 20 years of construction management experience on large capital programs, with direct exposure to pharma or cleanroom environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide owner's representative oversight of all CSA construction activities including civil foundations, structural steel, architectural finishes, and cleanroom envelope construction
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor CSA installation progress against the approved construction schedule; identify and escalate delays, conflicts, and quality issues
- Verify that all CSA work is performed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, validated submittals, and project specifications
- Coordinate CSA scope interfaces with mechanical, piping, E&I, and HVAC construction leads to manage sequencing and handoffs
- Lead field quality inspections and punch list development across civil, structural, and architectural scopes
- Maintain daily field observation logs, RFI tracking, and submittal review for CSA scope
- Represent the owner's position in construction coordination meetings and contractor progress reviews
- Support CSA turnover readiness including mechanical completion walkdowns and handover documentation
- Ensure contractor compliance with site safety standards, GMP construction requirements, and quality documentation obligations
- Mentor CSA Construction Supervisors and Coordinators within the team
- 20 years of capital construction experience with a focus on civil, structural, and architectural scopes — REQUIRED
- Direct pharma, biotech, or cleanroom construction experience strongly preferred; food & beverage or data center experience considered
- Demonstrated owner's representative or client-side construction management experience on programs of $100M
- Strong knowledge of GMP construction standards, cleanroom envelope requirements, and regulated facility construction expectations
- Experience with structural steel, concrete, architectural systems, and cleanroom partition/wall systems in a capital project environment
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and construction documentation management platforms
- Strong RFI and submittal management capabilities; experience coordinating with design teams on field issues
- OSHA 30 certification required; BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering preferred
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Central Indiana
