Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join a dynamic and fast-paced discovery oncology team located in South San Francisco. The successful candidate will support lab-based research projects to identify and validate novel druggable targets spanning from small molecule areas to biologics. The ideal candidate is a team player, an expert in routine molecular and cellular biology techniques, and familiar with the application of multi-omics approach. He/She will learn various cutting-edge techniques and thrive in team-oriented environment with career growth opportunity.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Maintain and generate various mammalian cell types.
- Establish and execute cellular assays to validate novel targets.
- Design and perform assays for high throughput screening.
- Apply multi-omics approach to decipher mechanisms of action and PD readouts.
- Analyze, interpret, and present the data to the team and/or company.
- Troubleshoot experiments in a timely manner.
- Learn and apply new techniques to support ongoing efforts.
- Actively participate in a group discussion and collaborate with colleagues throughout the company.
Required Qualifications and Background:
- PhD in biology, cancer, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related discipline, with 5 years lab-based experience.
- Expertise in routine molecular and cellular techniques.
- Experience in gene editing (CRISPR, TALEN, etc) and/or high-throughput screening is plus.
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and strong documentation skills.
- Outstanding communication, writing, and presentation skills are a must.
