Childcare Teacher

Planet Kids Childcare is seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic Childcare Provider to support the growth and development of children ranging from infants to school-age. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while promoting age-appropriate learning and social development. Full time or part time. Half benefits are available.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children ages 3 months to 12 years old
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including educational play, crafts, and outdoor time
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and daily routines based on age group
• Support children’s emotional and social development through positive guidance and interaction
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding their child’s day, progress, and any concerns
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a positive team environment and ensure consistency in care
• Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills with children, parents, and team members
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Previous childcare experience preferred (but not required)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Blood borne pathogens training
• TB test
• Safe sleep
• Mandated reporter training
• 30 hr basic STARS training
• Food handlers permit
