Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Pueblo, CO (Zip: 81003)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2070
- Healthcare Setting: General Med/Surg, Neurosurgical, Orthopedic (hips, knees, shoulders)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), various days
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 7 weekend shifts per contract
- Charting System: Epic
- Unit Size: 28 beds
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Active Colorado or Compact Registered Nurse license
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- CPR certification
- Experience with Epic charting system
- First-time travel nurses accepted with at least 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to float to all Med/Surg units and sister healthcare facilities as needed
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg, neurosurgical, and orthopedic patients
- Manage patient ratios of 1:6 during night shifts (may flex based on unit needs)
- Perform central line and PICC line care and management
- Administer and titrate IV insulin drips and heparin protocols
- Conduct feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, and oxygen administration
- Monitor telemetry and respond to rapid response/code teams
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to similar units and adapt to flexible staffing ratios
