Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Portland, ME (04102) and surrounding areas (up to 75-mile radius)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Healthcare Setting: Home Health Nursing
- Start Date: August 18, 2025
- End Date: November 17, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2000–$2050
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate for patient-to-patient travel
- Productivity: 30 points per week (approximately 40 hours/week)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine (required at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Adult Home Health or Hospice RN experience
- Current BLS and CPR certifications
- Proficiency with OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR (recent use or willingness to retrain)
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Ability to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic
- Timely completion of all clinical documentation (within 24 hours of patient visits)
- Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotations as needed
- Not currently employed directly by Amedisys
- Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes according to physician orders and agency policies
- Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
- Conduct home visits for start of care, wound care, follow-up, and other clinical needs
- Manage a daily caseload of 5–10 patients, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in office meetings and maintain open communication with the clinical manager
- Ensure all assigned patients are seen as scheduled, regardless of travel distance
- Maintain compliance with agency productivity standards and quality of care expectations
