ER RN Job Details

• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract (locum tenens)
• Location: Lillington, North Carolina (27546)
• Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Mid shift, 3x12-hour nights (15:00 – 03:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Willingness to float between campuses as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR
  
  

ER RN Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to pass advanced EKG exam
• Must be able to float between campuses as needed
• Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of facility
  
  

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a busy emergency department
• Perform arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, and emergency medication administration
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and initiate IVs
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, failure, and drug overdose
• Provide compassionate care for patients experiencing mental health crises or suicidal ideation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Float between similar units and campuses as required to meet facility needs
