Travel Nursing Job Details
- Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Assignment
- Location: Athol, Massachusetts 01331 (North Quabbin region)
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (19 beds, 15 rooms)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: September 8, 2025
- End Date: December 8, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 3x12-hour mid shifts (1:00 pm – 1:00 am), 36 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- On-Call: None
- Float Requirement: None
- Scrubs: Any color
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890 - $1940
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and MOAB certifications
- Experience with Meditech Expanse and Omnicell preferred
- Previous charge nurse, community hospital, and charting system experience preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work some holidays and every third weekend
- First-time travel nurses with strong ER experience are encouraged to apply
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting
- Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for trauma, cardiac, behavioral health, and medical emergencies
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and deliver advanced life support interventions
- Utilize Omnicell and Meditech Expanse for documentation and medication management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and unit secretaries
- Assist with special procedures such as chest tube insertion, intubation, central line placement, and procedural sedation
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols
- Educate and support patients and families during emergency situations
