Maintenance Tech

Full-time, hourly position. This position will service multiple locations within driving distance. A company vehicle will be provided. 

• $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. 
• Typical Schedule range for this position is between: 7:00AM -6:00PM

Job Summary: The Building/Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and on-going general maintenance and repairs of club equipment and club facilities to include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
 

Essential Job Functions:

• Repair and upkeep of all cardio equipment, weight machines, tanning, and hydro massage beds, etc.
• Mechanical systems repair and upkeep such as plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and electrical.
• Facility upkeep, including painting and general handyman tasks.
• Collaborate with management in coordinating external services for warranty issues, extensive repairs and inspections.
• Execute annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance schedules for equipment and facility.
• Provide 1 customer service to club managers addressing and resolving all facility and equipment issues within the scheduled agreed upon timeframe.
• Respond and resolve emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Core working hours for this position are between 7:00AM – 6:00PM. Consistent schedules are required. Hours worked outside of agreed up schedule must be approved by the direct manager.
• Flexibility with schedules during special projects is required.
• Must be available on weekends and evenings, as needed, to respond to maintenance inquiries and emergencies.
• Must be willing to occasionally travel for training and to support other locations.

Job Qualifications:

• • Knowledge of general facility maintenance and repairs. Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Good customer service skills and highly effective communicator.
  • Must be able to work independently with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time.
  • 1 year of customer service experience is preferred, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current CPR Certification recommended.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft office Suite).
  • Superior problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and diplomacy skills.
  • A passion for health and fitness.

Physical Demands:

• • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
  • Continual climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, twisting, and crouching during shift.
  • Frequent use of power tools
  • Manually performing maintenance work.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
  • May involve working indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals
