Job Description
Planet Aid, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental protection and sustainable development, is seeking a full-time Material Handler II.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the warehouse in scanning cart information into the computer system
- Properly bales materials and donated goods
- Safely operates warehouse machinery, including propane/electric forklifts
- Ensures maintenance and proper storage of equipment
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Empties carts and sorts material into categories
- Skilled and senior level material handlers operate bailing machines and propane/electric forklifts
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent years of experience
- Min. 1 year of experience as Material Handler I in Planet Aid, or 2 years of experience in warehouse operations as a material handler
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts
- Physically capable of performing essential duties and lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to understand written and oral job instructions, and follow all safety standards and policies
- Ability to multitask and assist production team when required
