Plancorp is seeking experienced Wealth Managers or Senior Wealth Managers to join our growing team. This combined posting is intended for candidates whose experience may align with either level; role level will be determined based on background, scope of responsibility, and business development track record.

Position Overview
As a Wealth Manager or Senior Wealth Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while contributing to Plancorp’s long-term growth. Both roles are client-facing, relationship-driven, and grounded in comprehensive financial planning within a fee-only fiduciary environment.
The key distinction between the two levels is scope and impact. Wealth Managers focus on delivering excellent advice and growing with the firm, while Senior Wealth Managers operate with a broader book of business, greater autonomy, and an elevated role in business development, mentorship, and firm leadership.
Role Scope & Leveling
Wealth Manager
- Serves as a lead advisor for assigned clients, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment advice
- Manages and deepens client relationships with guidance and support from senior team members
- Participates in business development activities, including referrals and prospect meetings
- Collaborates closely with planning, investment, and client service teams
- Continues to build technical expertise, client judgment, and advisory confidence
- Well-suited for advisors growing into broader responsibility and long-term leadership
- Senior Wealth Manager
- Owns and manages a significant book of business with a high degree of independence
- Leads complex client relationships and multi-generational planning conversations
- Drives new business development through referrals, networking, and brand advocacy
- Acts as a mentor and thought partner to Wealth Managers and other team members
- Contributes to firm-wide initiatives, strategy, and long-term growth
- Viewed as a long-term hire with potential eligibility for ownership, based on experience and performance

What You Bring
For Wealth Manager consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university; social sciences or business preferred
- CFP® designation (or progress toward CFP completed within 4-6 months) OR a combination of a CPA and a Series 65
- Typically 5 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or tax/accounting advisory environments
- Experience supporting or leading client relationships
- Strong technical foundation and desire to grow advisory responsibility
For Senior Wealth Manager consideration:
- CFP® designation OR a combination of a CPA and a Series 65
- Typically 8–10 years of experience advising high-net-worth clients
- Proven success managing a book of business and developing new client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently while contributing to team development
- Strong business judgment, leadership presence, and client advocacy skills
