Trust Administrator position:
We are seeking an individual for our Trust Administrator position. Individuals with a background in finance, account management and/or human services experience would be preferred for this role.
The Trust Administrator manages relationships and day-to-day support for individuals with Trust accounts. This role serves as the main point of contact for beneficiaries and their families or other supports, so it requires frequent client facing communication.
The Trust Administrator helps ensure funds are used appropriately, supports financial decision-making, and works closely with internal teams to meet each beneficiary’s needs. This role requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a focus on service, compliance, and consistency.
After a one-month introductory period, employees may work one day a week at home. The other 2 days will be Monday and Thursday at our office in Wayne, PA.
Key Duties:
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for beneficiaries and their support networks (family, caregivers, professionals) as it relates to financial account management.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships
- Communicate clearly about decisions, policies, and next steps
- Have confidence in navigating difficult conversations
- Use collaborative discussion to document goals and priorities in onboarding conversations
- Guided by fiduciary duty in communications and decisions
- Deliver a high level of customer service by building trust, setting clear expectations, and keeping beneficiaries informed
Trust Administration & Disbursements
- Help beneficiaries understand how their trust works, including rules, processes, and available resources
- Review and respond to disbursement requests in line with budgets and guidelines
- Research requests as needed to support informed decision-making
- Communicate approvals or denials in a clear and supportive way
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in internal systems
- Able to use framework of ethical guidance in evaluating and discussing disbursement decisions
- Able to hold multiple viewpoints to consider complex context
Budgeting & Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage beneficiary budgets throughout the year; factor in all accounts PLAN is responsible for managing—Trust, Representative Payee, PA ABLE
- Conduct Annual Reviews to review budget and goals; discuss quarterly with advisor
- Ensure sufficient funds are available and coordinate asset liquidation if required
- Monitor spending and adjust budgets as needed
- Process approved payments, purchases, and reimbursements
- Monitor investment performance to communicate effectively with financial advising partners
- Work closely with the Accounts Administrator to ensure reconciliation of accounts is accurate and timely
Social Service Mission Delivery
- Partner with Care Managers to support beneficiaries
- Gain basic understanding of key public benefits and stay informed about available services
- Support team projects, process improvements, and organizational initiatives
- Contribute to a collaborative, small-team environment
- Grounded in client centered, strengths based approach to supporting people with disabilities and understanding the needs of that population
- Exercise highest integrity and care to ensure stewardship of funds, confidentiality, and dignity of clients
- Participate in trainings on social service topics

Compensation and Benefits
- $60,000 - $63,000 a year, depending on relevant experience
