We are seeking a skilled Structural Drafting and BIM Technician with 4 years of professional drafting experience to join our growing team in Boise, Idaho. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse structural engineering projects while collaborating closely with our engineering team to produce accurate, detailed construction documents. Required Qualifications
- 4 years of professional drafting experience (Revit required; Archicad experience is a plus)
- Experience creating construction documents, details, and 3D models
- Proficiency in Revit for modeling and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural drafting experience (highly preferred) - including structural steel, concrete, wood frame, and/or foundation systems experience
- Archicad experience (highly preferred) - candidates with strong Archicad proficiency will receive priority consideration
- Autodesk Certified Professional certification (preferred) - demonstrates advanced software proficiency
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and drafting standards
- Experience with additional software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or structural analysis programs
Key Responsibilities
- 3D Modeling & Documentation - Create and maintain accurate Revit/BIM models for structural systems, producing detailed construction documents, plans, sections, and details.
- Coordination - Collaborate with structural engineers to translate design concepts into detailed drawings and coordinate with architectural and MEP disciplines for clash detection.
- Quality Control - Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Project Support - Assist engineers with quantity takeoffs, material schedules, and respond to RFIs during construction phases.
- Standards Development - Contribute to the development and maintenance of company CAD/BIM standards, templates, and detail libraries.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
