Senior Structural Engineer
to join its growing team.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for an engineer with 8 years of experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber construction, as well as building code compliance. Responsibilities include:
- Leading design projects for new construction, renovations, and forensic engineering investigations.
- Overseeing structural repairs of existing structures.
- Assessing existing conditions, establishing project budgets, and developing technical proposals and reports.
- Managing and mentoring project staff, while ensuring quality assurance throughout project execution.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with standard engineering software and strong communication skills.
- Experience in construction or stormwater management design is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, applying extensive technical knowledge to complex assignments.
- Expertise in developing new techniques or improving processes, materials, or products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading multiple projects of moderate to major scope.
- Acting as a technical specialist or adviser to upper management.
- Supervising and mentoring engineering staff.
- Preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules, as well as proposals for professional services or project funding.
Reporting Line:
Directly reports to the Principal in charge of the Structural Department.
