🔧 We're Hiring: Senior Mechanical Engineer | Manhattan, NY
Are you a skilled mechanical engineer ready to step into a project leadership role? We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our clients growing MEP team in Manhattan.
About the Role
You'll function as a full Project Manager on assigned projects — leading all MEP trades, driving design, and owning project delivery — with a Senior PM providing oversight and joining key meetings. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be the go-to person for clients, architects, and all consultants on your projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical (HVAC) design and produce construction documents to NYC Building Code and ASHRAE standards
- Manage and coordinate all MEP trades — Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, and Sprinkler
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership, architects, and all project consultants
- Attend and lead all coordination meetings across trades and stakeholders
- Own the project schedule — ensuring all internal disciplines meet their deadlines
- Proactively resolve design conflicts, RFIs, and field coordination issues
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and manage design through construction administration
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of MEP/mechanical engineering experience in a NYC environment
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.E. license preferred)
- Experience managing multi-trade coordination on commercial or institutional projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM coordination tools
- Strong communicator — confident with clients, ownership, and senior stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
