Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and monitor residents' health status.
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
- Help with meals, hydration, and creating a positive dining experience.
- Follow infection prevention policies and use personal protective equipment appropriately.
- Provide psychosocial support and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Document interactions and communicate changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or in progress within four months.
- Prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education and certification maintenance.
- For applicable states, registration as an Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) and valid driver’s license if required.
