What You'll Do
As the Assistant General Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel while ensuring exceptional guest service, strong financial performance, and an engaging workplace culture.
You'll help drive success by focusing on four key areas:
Inspire & Engage Your Team
- Create a positive, collaborative work environment where associates feel valued and empowered.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to reach their full potential.
- Foster open communication and recognize employee contributions.
- Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive service and memorable hospitality.

Develop Talent
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Lead ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Support department managers through consistent leadership coaching.
- Build a culture focused on growth, accountability, and continuous learning.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Assist in overseeing all hotel operations to ensure efficiency and exceptional service.
- Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, revenue optimization, and expense management.
- Partner with leadership on capital improvement projects and operational enhancements.
- Help ensure the hotel consistently exceeds brand and guest expectations.
Protect & Strengthen the Brand
- Champion brand standards across every department.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and prepare for brand audits.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy and revenue.
- Build strong relationships with guests, associates, vendors, and community partners.
- Help maintain compliance with safety, risk management, and company policies.

Qualifications:What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is a confident hospitality leader who enjoys building teams and creating memorable guest experiences.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of four years of progressive hotel management experience.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, brand standards, and guest service excellence.
- Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and profit & loss statements.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally or occasionally overnight for training.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent walking throughout the hotel, standing, bending, climbing stairs, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a hotel environment with occasional travel to support other Plamondon Hospitality Partners properties and attend brand-sponsored training.
