Office Professional – Class II (Curriculum Office)

Position Summary:
The Curriculum Office is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and innovative Office Professional to support the Curriculum Director and the EL, Equity, and Student Support Supervisor with the daily operations of the department. The ideal candidate is a skilled multitasker who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and thrives in a dynamic educational environment.

This position operates in an environment that requires accuracy, adaptability, and strong multitasking skills. The ideal candidate will thrive under high expectations for performance and professionalism, consistently delivering quality work under tight timelines. Success in this role requires true collaboration, as the Office Professional will work closely with multiple departments, administrators, and others to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow across the district.

The successful candidate will be proficient with technology, eager to learn complex systems, and comfortable navigating various digital platforms, including Google Workspace and PowerSchool.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily department operations and district-wide centralized registration with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Curriculum Director and EL, Equity, and Student Support Supervisor, including:
  • Support 504 coordination, including:
  • Handle mass mailings and ensure timely processing and distribution of testing results.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take and distribute minutes, and ensure all materials are accurate and shared promptly.
  • Assist with grant documentation, compliance tracking, and state reporting requirements.
  • Maintain organized records, correspondence, and calendars, ensuring confidentiality and efficiency.
  • Utilize Google Workspace (Classroom, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Gmail) and Microsoft Office Suite to support communication, presentations, and data management.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating departmental needs, developing organizational systems, and improving existing processes.
  • Interact respectfully and effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, parents, and community members; bilingual proficiency preferred.
  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive attitude in all interactions and work responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Classroom, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive, Calendar) and experience with PowerSchool.
  • Strong budgeting and financial tracking skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to diffuse challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
  • Demonstrated respect for and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with school operations, 504 coordination, and educational reporting preferred.
  • Must maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
  • Compensation and Schedule:
  • Position: Full-time, 12-month position
  • Hourly Rate: $30.28 - $34.23
  • Reports to: Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment
