What You Will Do
- Perform routine building and grounds maintenance, including repairs and general property upkeep.
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
- Accurately document inspections, tests, and deficiencies discovered during assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety procedures at all times.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for fire protection and maintenance emergencies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
- Attend training sessions as needed to maintain certifications and expand skills.
- Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a proactive approach to personal and organizational growth.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Minimum of one (1) year of general maintenance or related experience (Preferred)
- Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems and software
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, submittals, manuals, and technical documents
- Physical capability to perform work at heights (up to 40 feet), in confined spaces, or in various weather conditions
- General understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and construction practices
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to be available for on-call assignments and emergencies
- Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, stoop, bend, and perform manual tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
- Proficiency with common office equipment and programs, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment
- Outdoor work required in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Potential exposure to heights, tight spaces, and various environmental elements
- Fast-paced, physically demanding role requiring flexibility and attention to detail
