The Terminals Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Plains’ terminal, rail, and gas processing operations through pricing analysis, contract management, forecasting, financial reporting, discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling, and supply analytics. This role partners closely with Commercial, Operations, Accounting, Corporate Planning, and Scheduling teams to ensure accurate financial execution, operational visibility, and informed decision‑making across multiple assets. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex data across systems while clearly communicating insights to leadership and customers.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Analysis & Financial Project Modeling
- Own and maintain supply and demand balances across multiple markets and basins.
- Develop discounted cash flow (DCF) models to evaluate the financial viability and returns of capital projects.
- Manage and report daily gas and crude pricing distribution.
- Own the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle for terminal customers, ensuring accurate interpretation, execution, and compliance with commercial agreements.
- Perform monthly contract escalations, including detailed reviews, validation of rate changes, and customer communication.
- Produce monthly “Contracts to Bill” reports to support Accounting, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
- Perform monthly revenue forecast, UCF reconciliation, and year‑over‑year variance analysis.
- Participate in the development of the annual plan and quarterly guidance.
- Build and maintain revenue‑by‑customer reporting to highlight key performance drivers.
- Coordinate and produce materials for leadership meetings.
- Own and maintain the Monthly Financial Meeting Packet, including:
- Forecast vs. actual revenue comparisons
- Connection summary reports
- Over/short analysis
- Differential summaries
- Turnaround and outage reporting
- Manage end‑to‑end PGS scheduling and pipeline communications.
- Maintain and analyze monthly PGS workbooks, including volumes, allocations, NGLs, and samples.
- Communicate directly with producers regarding nominations, schedules, and operational activity.
- Support customer‑level analysis, pre‑close invoice estimates, and volume allocations to meet contractual obligations.
- Track rail freight, car movements, and operational status across BNSF and UP systems.
- Manage railcar cleaning and certification tracking to ensure compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in midstream, energy, or logistics with 0- 2 years’ work experience in pipeline industry preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, financial analysis, discounted cash flows and contract interpretation.
- Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint; Power BI experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
