Responsibilities
- Supervise children during before and after-school program to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Collaborate with other staff to implement age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, physical activity, and learning experiences
- Manage children's behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
- Provide first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies following established protocols, including CPR and AED operation when necessary
- Participate and complete required training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Support the overall development of children through mentorship and fostering respectful peer interactions
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is a plus
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Training is provided.
- Experience facilitating youth activities such as sports coaching, theater arts, tutoring or babysitting is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions for outdoor work experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to child supervision, safety protocols, and positive youth development strategies

Part time – 10-20 hours per week
