Job Summary
The Weekend Dietary Aide assists with the preparation, service, and clean-up of meals for residents on weekends. Maintains a clean, attractive, and sanitary dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food ordering, storage, and preparation as directed
- Support cooks and dietary staff in meal prep
- Prepare and label nourishments, desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods
- Portion foods and pour beverages according to center procedures
- Follow production sheets and pre-prep guidelines
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits; slice and measure meats for menu compliance
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas; sweep and mop floors, wash pots and pans, take out trash
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in a large-scale cooking operation preferred
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently
