Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar Installer/Technician to join our team. This role involves Mainly Removing and installing Solar modules, other duties may include maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems on commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to work at heights on rooftops. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to renewable energy projects while developing technical expertise in solar technology.
Duties
- Install solar panels, inverters, and related electrical components following blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and NEC codes to ensure compliance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Connect high voltage and low voltage systems securely, adhering to electrical standards
- Perform fixture installation, wiring, grounding, and system testing
- Assist with construction site setup, including scaffolding and roofing work as needed
- Operate forklifts or other machinery for material handling when required
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work, roofing, plumbing, and construction site procedures
Experience
- Prior experience as a Solar Installer is highly preferred
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics for electrical or solar projects
- Construction site experience involving roofing, or general construction work is advantageous
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, roofing techniques, and fixture installation is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work safely at heights on rooftops and scaffolding
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, blueprint reading, and system troubleshooting skills
This role requires a proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and technical proficiency. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety compliance.
