Placer County is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill Code Enforcement Officer I and II positions in the Tahoe area.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing state and local laws related to zoning, building, health and safety, land use, and housing codes. This includes conducting research, investigations, inspections, and follow-up activities, as well as issuing citations, appearing in court, and communicating with the public regarding code compliance.

Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: One year of public contact involving interpretation and explanation or enforcement of laws and regulations (Code Enforcement Officer I) or two years of experience performing duties similar to Code Enforcement Officer I (Code Enforcement Officer II).
- Training: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Required License or Certificate:
- Possession of a valid certificate of completion of Penal Code §832 Course in Arrest, Search, and Seizure issued by California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
