Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: One year experience as a speech aide with training and experience that is recognized by the State Licensing Board Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. License / Certificate Requirements: Current SLPA License-State of California ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must complete one of the following: A) Instructional Aide Testing (ESSA): Must receive a passing grade of 70% or higher. –OR– B) Complete 48 semester units of college course work.
