We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a hospital construction project in South Lake Tahoe. This role will be responsible for leading project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring all aspects of cost, schedule, quality, and compliance are successfully managed. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare construction experience and thrives in complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day management of hospital construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and timelines
• Oversee preconstruction efforts including budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, proactively identifying risks and driving solutions
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, OSHPD/HCAI requirements, and safety standards
• Manage procurement processes, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration
• Lead project meetings, provide clear communication to stakeholders, and maintain accurate documentation
• Drive quality control and assurance processes to meet strict healthcare construction standards
• Support project closeout, including commissioning, turnover, and documentation
Qualifications
• 5–10 years of construction experience, with a strong focus on healthcare or hospital projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Proven experience managing projects in California, with knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI requirements strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling (Primavera P6 or similar), and cost management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex project environments
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
