They have greater responsibility within the activities or projects of the company and are expected to perform those consistently and with high skill. A Project Leader contributes by focusing on the projects assigned to them, while being guided by others who direct the overall vision and content of what is being produced.

DESIGN - A Project Leader is expected to perform the following duties while being guided by others who direct the overall vision and content of what is being produced. It is expected for a Project Leader to contribute by focusing on the projects assigned to them.
- Prepares project design drawings – digitally rendered graphics, hand sketches, CAD- based plans, and details.
- Assembles project design presentations containing imagery, design drawings, narrative, renderings, etc.
- Prepares project diagrams by conducting site analysis with input from attending site visits and researching project context.
- Researches and applies applicable codes, regulations, and design standards, with guidance from the project Landscape Architect.
- Prepares project cost estimates for hardscape materials, amenities, and planting designs.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT - A Project Leader is expected to perform the following duties while being guided by others:
- Reviews and edits work for accuracy on assigned tasks by making changes based on creating ‘redlines’ and ‘redlines’ from others.
- Participates, as requested, in project meetings with clients, design team, and/or contractors by listening, taking notes, and communicating when appropriate.
- Observes the overall flow of a project and is learning what tasks are needed to successfully complete all phases of a project.
- Self-manage and deliver tasks on time within multiple projects, simultaneously.
