We are seeking an ambitious newly registered architect or actively working towards licensure with 4-6 years of professional experience, particularly multifamily design experience.
Associate Project Manager for Architecture is the project’s Job Captain and documentation leader, facilitating the BIM and documentation needs of the cross-functional design team in order to ensure effective document/model coordination and coordinated documentation packages. This Job Captain works closely with the Project Manager to develop work plans, create model/documentation content, and coordinate the model/documentation activities and work product of third-party consultants, modelers, and drafters.
The Associate Project Manager | Architecture, has the opportunity to participate and partner with the Project Designer during the Design Charette, working through the Schematic design process all the way through full architectural services, to ensure adherence to Project Vision/ Character, by supporting the firm’s design, development, and construction services for the entire project, liaise with team members from Development, Construction, Portfolio, and Planning/Design to successfully realize the full development life cycle from conception through lease-up and occupancy.

Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the project manager, utilizing the BIM template, establish project BIM standards, file management, and project BIM protocols.
- Project record keeping & digital filing – project sets, BIM and CAD files, consultant files & backgrounds, contract labor files, contract work product, etc.
- Coordinate backgrounds and/or models with consultants to support the interdisciplinary design coordination.
- Coordinate and facilitate document and model coordination with third-party design professionals and third-party model builders.
- Produce drawings/models from redlines and ensure models/drawings produced by contracted drafting/modeling services are consistent with redlines.
- Create specific drawings and model content as assigned by the Project Manager.
- Facilitate and coordinate design team responses/updates from quality reviews & third-party review comments.
- Record notes when participating in meetings, to support the PM with meeting minutes and actions identification.
- Coordinate and facilitate interdisciplinary team adherence with BIM execution and documentation protocols to support a coordinated, competent set of instruments for regulatory approval, pricing, and
- Construction Administration shop drawing reviews, supplemental sketches/clarification drawings or redlines from time to time as assigned by the project manager.
- The candidate should have 4-6 years of experience within the multifamily, mixed-use, or hospitality industry.
- Demonstratable experiences as job captain or similar role for private commercial development ranging from $40M to $125M. Previous experience as a Job Captain for multifamily project types is highly valued.
- Wood frame design experiences designing/documenting Type 3 and Type 5 construction types is highly valued.
- Ability to identify goals and create work plans of immediate and short-term project goals.
- Ability to create, manage, and coordinate all project documents with REVIT/BIM Software.
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- A team player who possesses a positive attitude, strong work ethic, a high level of professionalism, and sincere passion for creating architecture.
- Working towards registration or licensure as an architect – desire, motivation, and discipline to complete licensure as a credentialed Architect in a US jurisdiction.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD required. Experience with Trimble SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Twinmotion, and/or Lumion preferred but not required.
