What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician - BAS / EMS Division position at Place Services Inc.?
Place Services, Inc. with their HQ based in Canton, GA (Atlanta area) has an immediate need for an experienced Commercial Electricians in a variety of geographic areas including but not limited to south Alabama, Atlanta, GA, Knoxville, TN, and the Raleigh, NC area. This is a high travel position that will consist of mostly night work with the possibility of some dayshift work.

What You’ll Do:
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Installing and mounting electronic controls, device, panels, sensors, and components.
- Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
- Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

- 1-2 years commercial electrician construction experience in temperature control systems, lighting control, and refrigeration systems/controls - EMS/BAS (Energy Management Systems or Building Automation systems).
- Experience with the following systems/controls preferred: Emerson, CPC, Novar, Danfoss
- OSHA and CPR training a plus
- Have a Valid Driver's License and maintain a safe driving record accordance with the Fleet Policy
- Must be physically able to walk distances, bend and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift/carry objects up to fifty pounds, repetitively and for an external period
- Able to provide prompt and detailed communications
- Available to work nights and/or Sundays
- Working knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (if a Lead)
- EPA Certification preferred but not required
