Residential Program Manager (House Manager)
Classification: Full-Time (Exempt) Live-In Position
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Place 4 Grace Residential Home
Position Overview
Place 4 Grace is seeking a strong, structured leader to oversee the daily operations of our maternity home serving pregnant women who often come from complex backgrounds involving trauma, instability, or crisis and who have chosen life for their babies. This is a live-in residential position in which the Residential Program Manager resides in the maternity home and provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the household environment.

Experience & Personal Capabilities

- Minimum one year experience working with young adults, teens, or residential programs
- Experience supervising individuals or managing responsibilities in a structured environment preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and safe driving record
Screening Requirements
- Final candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening conducted in accordance with applicable federal and Ohio law and Place 4 Grace policies
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to assist with household tasks and daily home operations
- Ability to remain calm and take leadership in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities
Residential Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Place 4 Grace home under the direction of the Executive Director
- Manage the household calendar, schedules, routines, resident responsibilities, and chores
- Ensure household standards are consistently maintained
- Monitor the overall condition and efficiency of the home
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding household operations and needs
Resident Supervision & Accountability
- Provide clear expectations for resident behavior, enforce house rules and program guidelines consistently, and address behavioral or relational conflicts directly and appropriately
- Provide guidance while maintaining appropriate personal and professional boundaries
- Walk alongside mommas in a life-changing season
- Communicate resident progress or concerns to the Executive Director
Program Coordination
- Assist with resident intake, orientation, and room assignments
- Participate in developing and reviewing resident life plans and monitoring progress toward those goals
- Support the implementation of weekly programming and classes
- Help prepare residents for motherhood or adoption planning
- Coordinate resident participation in community resources
Household Management
- Supervise meal planning, household organization, and resident participation in maintaining the home
- Oversee garden, farm, or outdoor responsibilities when applicable
- Maintain household budget awareness and responsible resource use
- Monitor utilities and home efficiency
Spiritual Environment
- Help foster a Christ-centered atmosphere within the home and provide spiritual guidance when appropriate
- Oversee or coordinate daily devotions and spiritual growth opportunities
- Encourage residents in their personal relationship with Christ
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate resident documentation
- Provide regular updates to the Executive Director
- Participate in weekly resident progress reviews
- Ensure all records remain organized and confidential
Work Environment
This position operates primarily within the Place 4 Grace residential home and requires daily interaction with residents and program staff.
The role requires someone who is comfortable managing a dynamic home environment while maintaining structure and order.
Because this role involves living in a residential maternity home with pregnant residents and assisting with household supervision in shared living spaces, preference may be given to female applicants where permitted by law in order to protect resident privacy and safety. If married, the candidate’s spouse may reside in the home and is welcome to serve as a volunteer. Any volunteer participation by a spouse must comply with applicable nonprofit volunteer guidelines.
Because this is a residential position, background screening may also be required for adult household members residing in the home.
Because this is a residential position, work schedules will include both on-duty and off-duty hours. Specific work hours and time off will be defined in the employment agreement.
