Plaas Incorporated is located in Red Wing, MN with a branch office in South Sioux City, NE; we are well-established with over 50 years of experience in Industrial Construction. We are looking for a Working Tank Foreman who will lead and oversee tank projects from conception to completion. The Working Tank Foreman will be responsible for keeping all projects on-time, and on budget in a safe manner.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
· Site Supervision: Supervise field crews in AST erection, repair, welding, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety policies (OSHA) and quality standards (QA/QC).
· Hands-on Work: Perform and oversee skilled work, including layout, fitting, welding, grinding, and rigging for tanks.
· Planning & Logistics: Assist in developing work schedules, coordinating personnel, identifying material needs, and resolving field issues.
· Documentation: Complete daily paperwork, including timesheets, T&M sheets, progress reports, and red-lining construction drawings.
· Mentorship: Train and mentor crew members in tank building techniques and safety procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
· Experience: 2 plus years of experience as a field foreman in the AST construction and repair industry.
· Technical Knowledge: Expertise in welding, burning equipment, and interpretation of blueprints/drawings.
· Certifications: DOT OQ (Operator Qualification), welding, and safety.
· Physical Ability: Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs ).
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Proven leadership skills to manage a crew and maintain positive customer relations.
· Strong communication skills to interact with Project Managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
