Welder - 1st Shift

SUMMARY:

This position involves working in a fast-paced production environment where the primary responsibilities include operating cutting torches and manual plasma cutters, performing various metal fabrication tasks, and demonstrating proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding for Carbon, Aluminum, or Stainless Steel. The role requires multitasking across different operations, including fabrication, machining, and millwright tasks. The role encompasses the use of basic machine shop equipment, reading blueprints, and conducting system upgrades. The ability to adapt to changing goals, both in terms of duties and work hours, is essential.

Work schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic math skills needed
• Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment
• Operate cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed
• Multi-skilled in different operations (fabrication, machining, millwright)
• Ability to be flexible to support team’s goals (duties, hours, and overtime)
• Use basic machine shop equipment to fabricate a variety of useful metal items for manufacturing including guards, racks, containers, tables, protective railing
• Welding (MIG, TIG, stick) Carbon, Aluminum or SS
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions and work well with others
• Must have 3-5 years experience in fabrication
• Working Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Bilingual a plus
• General Knowledge of Industrial Machinery a plus

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make necessary changes/installation of SS sanitary piping
• Layout, bend and weld various sheet metal components
• Metal cutting & bending equipment (shears, brake presses, drill press
• Ability to read and interpret developmental blueprints, and specifications
• Must be able to select and adjust welding equipment parameters
• Basic knowledge of bottle machinery a plus
• Continuous review of machine safety feature functionality
• Ability to bring a system upgrade from conception to completion

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:

• Ability to lift, pull or push up to 50 pounds
• Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights
