PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods.

Summary

The Line Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating day-to-day operations on the Electrolyte Filling production line to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of electrolyte products. This role provides frontline leadership to production associates, ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), batch record accuracy, and customer specifications, and partners closely with Quality, Compounding, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives. The Line Leader serves as a technical and operational expert on assigned electrolyte filling and packaging lines, ensuring equipment is set correctly, materials are properly controlled, and production activities meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.

Working Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10 pm - 6:30 am

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food or dietary supplement manufacturing standards, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete batch records and documentation.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with operators, supervisors, Quality, Maintenance, and management.
  • Strong analytical and basic mathematical skills for documentation, counts, and adjustments.
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve routine production issues.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to train, coach, and support line personnel.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as business needs require.

Position Responsibilities

  • Review daily production schedules to determine electrolyte products to be filled or packaged and ensure readiness of materials and equipment.
  • Verify customer and product requirements by reviewing the Finished Product Specification Book prior to and during production.
  • Set up, adjust, and verify proper operation of electrolyte filling, labeling, and coding equipment.
  • Ensure correct lot numbers, code dates, and labeling information are applied for each product run.
  • Monitor line performance to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are met.
  • Identify, document, and promptly report discrepancies, deviations, or nonconformances to Quality Assurance and supervision.
  • Accurately complete and review batch records and production documentation for all assigned lines.
  • Train and support newly assigned employees across all line positions as needed to maintain coverage and compliance.
  • Coordinate rework activities with the team during downtime or quality events, ensuring proper documentation and material accountability.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance checks are completed and communicate equipment concerns to Maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with GMP and electrolyte manufacturing cleanliness standards.
  • Partner closely with QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, and supervisory personnel to support smooth production flow.
  • Ensure proper accountability, reconciliation, and reporting of unused raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
  • Enforce proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices at all times.
  • Assign secondary tasks during downtime to maximize productivity while maintaining GMP compliance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all tasks associated with assigned electrolyte filling and packaging lines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager, Supervisor, or Floor Lead.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for handling containers, packaging components, and documentation.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing approximately 25–45 pounds in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to consistently wear and maintain required PPE within an electrolyte production setting.
  • Ability to understand/operate hot fill procedures as this product is bottled at 190 degrees.
