Job Summary:
PL Dental Zimmerman is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Advanced Dental Therapist (ADT) to join our collaborative dental team. The ideal candidate will help expand access to care by delivering preventative and restorative dental services under the general supervision of a dentist. This role is perfect for a licensed ADT passionate about improving oral health in a patient-first, supportive environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral health assessments, diagnose caries and periodontal conditions, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform basic restorative procedures including fillings and temporary crowns.
- Provide preventive care such as sealants, prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, and oral hygiene education.
- Collaborate with our general dentists, hygienists, and assistants to ensure comprehensive, efficient patient care.
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records in compliance with state and clinic standards.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-op care, and general oral health maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota licensure as a Dental Therapist and certification as an Advanced Dental Therapist.
- Authorized to practice under general supervision.
- Proficient in dental terminology, restorative techniques, and patient education.
- Experience with digital radiography and practice management software (Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred).
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
