Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to uphold our company's reputation for dependable service.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently drive assigned routes while strictly adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Pick up packages from customer locations and deliver them to UPS, providing courteous, professional, and friendly service at every stop.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and proper working condition of the assigned vehicle; perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with the pkgRTN team regarding route progress, delays, traffic issues, or any problems encountered during the shift.
- Actively use the pkgRTN driver app correctly and effectively throughout the entire shift (accepting jobs, updating statuses, following GPS navigation, etc.).
- Respond promptly to customer pickup and drop-off requests in the app, provide accurate real-time updates and ETA notifications, and use in-app chat or phone contact when necessary to ensure a seamless, positive, and professional customer experience.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a service delivery driver or courier roles preferred.
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and navigation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to schedules. This role offers an opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics team by ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
