What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Assistant position at PJY, LLC.?
– Entry level Fashion position, Design Assistant at Novelty Seamless Leading Manufacturer; primary responsibility is to manage development process of seamless garment samples from initial proto graphic design to final fit approval. Key responsibilities include:
· Create digital designs to bring original garment concepts into fruition and utilizing your own artistic passion.
· Delegate sample development process in the departments of Design, Knitting, Dyeing, Sewing, and Fitting.
· Develop Illustrator CADs in time-efficient manner.
· Create of line sheets for new and/or past developments.
· Photograph new styles on mannequin and managing/archiving internal style library.
· Maintain active role in weekly Production meetings.
· Communication, collaboration with retail designers/buyers along with team members.
– Associate or Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design or comparable Design or Fashion-related Major. Proficiency in Illustrator, CAD, and Excel is required; Photoshop experience is a plus.
